Built Your Own PC: A Step By Step Guide

Here are the tools you need to put the comp together. You might need some other tools here and there but for the most part a screw driver and Coke is all that's needed. It's best to use a magnetic screw driver.

The following pages shows the steps I use to put a computer together. You don't have to do it exactly the same. Some people like to put on the IDE cables last instead of first. There is no right or wrong way. In the end, we both end up with the same computer.

The L&C case doesn't have a removable motherboard tray. This makes working with the case a little harder than say a In Win Q500. However it's not too bad. I began by putting on the little feet on  the bottom of the case. Then I screw in the brass standoffs into the correct holes. The case has standoffs holes for both ATX and AT layout so make sure you put them in the correct one. Standoffs are used to keep your motherboard from touching the metal case. Very important as you don't want to short out anything.
