Waterproof Sandpaper in the following grits
(220,320,400,600,1500) basically go to the hardware store and grab two of
every kind of wet/dry sandpaper they got.
Start by taking the fans off the FDP-32’s.
They’re not on very tight so this is very easy. Don’t lose the clip or the
screws.

Try not to cut your table. :)
With your hacksaw, hack off the two outer
rows of fins. Try not to think of what percentage of the total price you are
removing. After removing the two fins, test fit the heatsink on the BP6. If it’s
still tight, use a large file and file it down. The notched out end goes on the
side of the socket with the hinge. You should be able to bend the capacitors out
slightly to get the fit right.

Before and after the hacking

Talk about a tight fit!
Repeat the same procedure to the other FDP32
and thoroughly clean them. You can use soap and water; you just want to make
sure there are no filings around. Also, be smart enough not to generate filings
(cutting, sanding) around your electronics.
Put the clips back in the heatsinks and the
fans back on. Don’t screw them on very tight because it will look dumb if you
bend the fan housing.
Heatsinks are ready. It's time to lap!
