Overclocking Case Project II

comp9small.jpg (22235 bytes)

I wanted to keep this project cost effective so I'll be using tools that most of us have or should have in the house.

1. The Dremel. What I think is the ultimate enthusiast's toy. If you do not have one of these I suggest you get one because it has so many uses its ridiculous.

A) Accessories Used:

  • Fiberglass Re-Enforced Cutting Wheel #426

  • Sanding Wheel #408

If you have just bought a Dremel the sanding wheel comes with it, the Fiberglass cutting wheel does not but another kind does. Do not use this cutting wheel because it is weak and tends to burn out too quickly.

2. The Drill. No house is complete without a drill, if you do not have one borrow a friends.

A) The Drill Bits:

Because drilling into computer metal is hard I used these bits.

Black & Decker "High Speed Steel Drill Bit" 5/64th's

Now you don't have to use these bits, you can be all ghetto and just jam something in there but I'm just trying to show the quality way :)

3. Marking Utensils. A pencil, a permanent marker, and a ruler - everyone has these...

4. Screwdriver. Just any kind, for some screwing purposes :)

5. Safety Glasses. You do NOT want to do this project without them, trust me there will be a LOT of plastic and metal flying everywhere.
