Overclocking Case Project II

The Duct Tape (quack quack)

comp11small.jpg (15613 bytes)

So now you got your nice case with Plexiglas on the side, blowholes all over keeping your components cool and you think you are done right? Wrong... Its time to make your case into a vacuum type of thing. What I will do is cover up any hole or area on the case (other than the blowholes of course). When you do this you control the airflow in your case to the max. After you have done this you are done, and have not spend that much on a case mod that should last you a very long time. You may be saying "Damnit Ender! I just got my manicure and I don't want to hurt my precious fingers" Well grow up and be a man! Previously I used to have one 120mm fan on my side panel with no guards, you want to know how many times my toes went into those things? Anyhow do what you like and whatever looks best to you. (I'm talking about finger-guards on both sides of the fan as in the previous case project)

Conclusion

Well what have we accomplished? We just made a nice case that looks cool and also keeps your components cool. Lets take a look at how much this cost us...

* Plexiglas, $10 tops.

* Fans w/grills $7 each for me, you can get them at this price at comp shows.

* All the screws and nuts $5.

* The Dremel, if you have one $0, if you don't about $50.

* Drill, if you have one $0, if not probably another $50.

* Duct Tape, about $3.

So anywhere from $178 to $78 depending what you have you can have yourself a mod that will last for a long time. Of course you can get fans and stuff cheaper from friends/bbs' or from ripping them out of dead power supply's that a computer store might be throwing out :). I hope this helps you in making your case the best it can be, good luck and happy cutting!
