BIOS Settings for Overclocking

!! CPU Soft Menu II !!

LABEL

SUGGESTED SETTINGS

NOTES

CPU Operating Speed User Define
- Turbo Frequency Enabled for 3% more speed Only works on 66mhz and 100mhz
- Ext. Clock (PCI) Start at CPU rating (66 or 100), then work up from there, 1 step at a time If computer locks, reset to lower setting
- Multiplier Factor CPU default Most CPU's are locked, so this will not affect anything
- SEL 100/66# Signal Low Originally intended for unlocking Pre August 1998 Pentium II 350 and 400mhz cpu's.  However, the Low setting has SLIGHTLY faster timing.
- AGPCLK/CPUCLK 1/1 for under 100mhz FSB, 2/3 at or above 100mhz FSB Some AGP cards can take 100+mhz AGP, however, there is little to no benefit, and greatly increases the chance of shorting out your AGP card.
- L2 cache Latency Low as possible before reaching instability Above 8 will shut L2 cache off on Pentium III CPU's
- Speed Error Hold Disabled Very important when overclocking
CPU Power Supply User Define
- Core Voltage Klamath CPU's: 2.8

Deschutes P2's: 2.0

Celeron's: 2.0

P3's: 2.0

Start at these default voltages, and go up 1 step at a time until either stability is reached or 15% above spec.  If stability is not reached, lower FSB speed
