TNT2 Ultra Overclocking Project

Without a doubt, the NVIDIA TNT Ultra is one of the best if not the best video card on the market today. The visual quality is great and the card is the fastest card to use when running Quake 3. However, for some of us, fast is never fast enough. If this is you, then there is only one thing to do, wait for the next generation of video card coming this Xmas, or overclock that TNT! Since I'm still waiting for my GeForce 256 to show up, I thought it would be fun to try and push the current TNT Ultra as fast as it will go without the use of expensive peltiers.

While this is a TNT overclocking project, this will really work for any video card. Just some of the steps and programs used will be different. As with all overclocking projects, you assume your own risk. Overclocking your video card beyond specs voids your warranty on the spot.

The TNT "victim" for this project is the Asus 3800 TNT2 Ultra. It's a very nice card. Comes with pretty much everything one can want in a video card. TNT2 chipset, Video in, Video out, TV out, VR 3D glasses, etc.. Out of the box, it runs at a very fast 150/183. This is a good starting point. Let's push it.
