Now it's time to apply thermal tape to the
spacer and all the memory chips. Good thing thermal tape is easy to cut!

Before sticking the heatsink to the Asus, I
test fitted the heatsink to make sure everything was clear. The heatsink used
for this project is a Global Win Xeon Cooler. Very low profile and, most
important, it covers up all the memory chips and video chipset. The heatsink
comes with 2 small 50mm Global Win fans, which would normally be enough, but I
decided to go wild.

Tossing the smaller fans aside, I screwed on
a 3 inch Sunon case fan! This baby blows over 36 cubic feet of air per minute
onto the Xeon heatsink, keeping it very cool. I did try to put on a 4.75 inch
Sunon but it wouldn't fit. That would have probably been overkill anyway (like
this is not :-)). Only one more thing left to do!
