TNT2 Ultra Overclocking Project

Now it's time to apply thermal tape to the spacer and all the memory chips. Good thing thermal tape is easy to cut!

Before sticking the heatsink to the Asus, I test fitted the heatsink to make sure everything was clear. The heatsink used for this project is a Global Win Xeon Cooler. Very low profile and, most important, it covers up all the memory chips and video chipset. The heatsink comes with 2 small 50mm Global Win fans, which would normally be enough, but I decided to go wild.

Tossing the smaller fans aside, I screwed on a 3 inch Sunon case fan! This baby blows over 36 cubic feet of air per minute onto the Xeon heatsink, keeping it very cool. I did try to put on a 4.75 inch Sunon but it wouldn't fit. That would have probably been overkill anyway (like this is not :-)). Only one more thing left to do!
