Windows XP Sneak Peek

The first screen you will see, upon booting a WindowsXP personal system, is the login screen, shown above. You can designate different Desktop and Software preferences for every user in your home, and can even replace the included example icons with any graphic image. Once you select your user name, you will get your first glimpse at WindowsXP's new updated GUI...

Although currently there are only two "skins" available in the beta, you can see clearly now the new GUI can be made to look. HiColor skins really liven up the staid and stolid (yet familiar) Windows GUI we've been basically stuck with since Windows 95. For those who prefer things the old fashioned way, you can of course use the Classic Theme...

Another change to the GUI is the addition of HiColor default Icons as well.
