A Visit To Act Labs

The Act Lab engineers all run their comps without covers for quick access. Or maybe they're overclocked and need more cooling.

An early mock up of a joystick that didn't quite make it to the market.

Many of the design work for Act Lab products are done at this office. This is their PCB cut out machine. Used to cut PCBs of course.

The warehouse is just loaded with forced feedback wheels and other goodies!

Raymond and Mudzy in the warehouse. Mudzy is calculating how many wheels he can take without Ray noticing. :)

Raymond shows us the many stages the RS Force Feedback wheel went though before the final design.

This is the very first mockup of the RS Force Feedback Wheel. It cost $150,000 to make.

Here they tried again. This time with a see-though cover. Blew another $100,000 on that.

Act Labs latest products are these cool gear shifters. You can even remove the shift knob, and put in your own

We love to show you more but we're under a NDA not to tell all we saw. I will say that Act Labs got some really neat stuff coming down the pipes. The visit ended with a BBQ in the parking lot and the customary exchange of T Shirts. If you're in the market for a new controller, check Act Labs out. You can read more about our Act Lab visit over at The Game Den.
