This time of the year is the
busiest for us. We got the IASCA finals, Comdex and now the
"Specialty Equipment Market Association" SEMA for short. So
it’s off to Vegas again to see the biggest aftermarket car show
in the world. This show took place at the Las Vegas Convention
Center. The whole building was use to house over 1800 exhibitors
and the outside sidewalk was littered with really cool looking
cars and trucks. There were also three tents to house the new
exhibitors that couldn’t get a spot inside. Being a Car guy at
heart I was like a baby in a candy store.
After arriving at Vegas, we
drove our rental van and parked at the convention center parking
lot. The jack up Chevy, and the slam Ford are samples of trucks
that were in the parking lot. I knew I was in for a good show
after seeing those things. The folks at Speed Vision were there to
broadcast a few live shows from the convention center. The pic on
the right is a
picture of their ride. I have to say; they know how to travel.
Before we even got into the
convention center we had to walk through a bunch of custom cars
and trucks. These machines were on the sidewalk for everyone to
see. I didn't get an exact count but I would guess over a hundred
cars and trucks total. Some of the rides there were not really my
style but I have to admire the work involved in making these
machines.
