Now this has to be one of the coolest products we have ever came across. The
Cybernet Zero-Footprint-PC is simply a complete PC
inside a normal size keyboard without the bulky box. The entire unit weight in
at just 7.5lbs, barely heavier than some laptops. The Elite-4 is Cybernet's
latest Zero-Footprint-PC. The unit contains a complete P4 class PC in a standard
sized keyboard casing and offers all the functionality of a standard desktop
system box without sacrificing desktop space.
The Elite-4 doesn't uses the latest and greatest Intel processors.
Instead the keyboard makes do with the latest FC-PGA2 0.13 Micron type
processors with up to 2.66GHz speed. No doubt all you hardcore gamers will be
saying "That's it?" but you have to remember, the Elite-4 is not targeted
towards you. Not only is the maximum processing speed increased over the
previous model, the 0.13 Micron technology allows the CPU to run significantly
cooler than traditional 0.18 Micro technology CPUs used by older
Zero-Footprint-PC keyboards.
The Elite-4 can be configured with up to 2GB of DDR RAM and any capacity 3.5”
Ultra-ATA hard disk drive. Standard features include: two serial ports, one
optional parallel port, two PS/2 ports, four USB 2.0 ports, two fire wire ports,
10/100 ethernet, integrated sound, SVGA port, EIDE controller for 3.5” HDD
support, one PCI-bus expansion slot and internal speakers.
Optional features include: internal floppy drive,
internal fax/modem, internal CDR or CDRW-DVD combo drive, plastic skin
protector, security lock and dual video support. Missing from the option
list are a bunch of slots; as in AGP slot and PCI slots. There are none. What
you see is pretty much what you get. With just built in video and no AGP slot
for a high end video card my dreams of a "gaming keyboard" were soon dashed.
