When most people hear the words Logitech and speaker uttered in the same sentence, they tend to think of entry-level speakers for those who want a half-decent set of speakers. In the past, Logitech hasn't beeen viewed to have the same calibre as Klipsch, but Logitech is trying to change that.
With the introduction of their "Z" series of speakers, Logitech has suddenly become a serious contender in the high-end computer audio market and a serious threat to the - dare I say it - monopoly over high-end computer speakers formed by Klipsch.
The Z-340 and Z-540 bottom out this line, giving you a nice 2.1, or entry level 4.1 system to consider. The crown jewel in Logitech's collection, however, is the Z-560. This 4.1 speaker system is a 400W RMS, THX certified bad-boy that is aimed directly at the boys at Klipsch. Not only are these speakers rated the same as the ever-famous Klipsch Promedia 4.1 system, but also they cost $100 less.
Ok, so the Z-560 system is cheap and powerful, but how does it sound? Has Logitech hit one out of the park, or has Klipsch put them out on first base? Let's find out...but first the specs page.
