I haven't got a set budget. If I need something, I either buy it or save up to buy it. Unless you're counting internet service, then I spend just shy of $60 every month ($9.95 for my dialup, just under $50 for my cable).

in the past year or so, the only thing i've spent money on is cable internet at $40 a month. I spent $49 on software last month as well, but thats about it.

Oh yeah, i'm also waiting for the new AMD Clawhammer to come out and i'll be building a new system around that.

no budget, just whatever. Like this month, 129 for a video card. next month probably nothing. although I may get a 199 digital camera, does that count?? I would say less than a hundred per month, on average. I really am a tightwad, although with a job I have let my self go a little more.

I don't have a set budget, but I usually spend less than $100 per month. Last month, I spent maybe $50-$60, and this month, I've probably spent close to that much already, but I may not spend anything next month.

I really don't spend much money on my computer on a monthly basis cause I can't afford it and theres nothing to spend it on. Unless I'm upgrading then I can hit pretty high but I don't upgrade monthly. Total though, I'd have to say...$2500 for the system itself (upgrades, replacements, additions), about $1000 on external peripherals (Palm Pilot, speakers, monitor, mouse, printer), and I'd have to say about $500-$700 on software and games. And thats been over the past...3 years.

I guess I am one of the big spenders.
Probably because I did some major upgrades this year.

Next year will be less, but I still want a 21" Trinitron, and possibly a Seagate 15.3.

It would average out to $200-$300.00 Canadian/month. I have a habit of going to computer stores and have a hard time leaving empy handed.

Monthly? Hmm, I really don't spend a lot on my computer monthly. More like every couple of months and that usually ranges from about $250.00 to $60.00.

Monthly internet access is only $19.95. Did I mention it's 28k dial-up? No, I didn't think so.

well, $28 a month for cable...I don't really have a monthly budget. So far this year I have spent about $600 US on upgrades...I've sold my old parts (and a little free labor) for about $300, so only the other $300 actually came out of my pocket.

I fall into the yearly category as well. I don't generaly but comp stuff every month. At year end when I do my upgrades, I usually spend from $1000-$1800.

don't spend money everymonth...however if I took an average over the course of a year it would probably come out to about $700.00.

The question should have read, how much do you spend monthly on computer stuff? Once you build a computer the way you want it. If that is really possible, I find myself buying all kinds of stuff I'll probably never need. But you never know. I build inexpensive computers for friends and family, mostly Pent II's or III's. So I buy alot of different parts off eBay and where ever I can find a bargin. I just bought 10 used 56K modems for $9.95 on eBay. I have DSL so my wife say's what are you going to do with those. Well with extra parts on hand. You can be a pretty popular guy at 10m on a sunday night when a friends modem gets zapped or they decide to clean their case out and break or lose something. The wife doesn't understand, but do they ever?
