Do you have a UMAX scanner and Windows XP?

If so look for a patch:

Yes I do have a UMAX scanner and Windows XP and just loaded XP, I'll check out the link and let you know what happens.

I've got to buy new drivers for the Umax so in the interim I've uninstalled the Scanner and no longer receive the error message.

Very sorry to hear that. Personally I think that's a ripoff. Drivers and patches should be made available free of charge. So much for service.

Although it rarely occurs.
