Logitech Z Cinema Home Theater Speaker Review

In the Box and First Impressions

Logitech Z Cinema

Let’s get one thing out of the way. The Logitech Z Cinema speaker system is not for the faint of heart. The box is one big honking thing that weights somewhere in the neighborhood of thirty pounds. Logitech really means business here, because this speaker system is supposed to provide you with a home theater experience on your computer.

The subwoofer is a little bigger than what I’m used to, especially since the eight-incher comes in a relatively large ported box. The satellites are also a fair bit taller than most PC speakers, measuring almost a foot tall. The glossy piano black finish is very classy, but the silver trim around the satellites takes a little away from this prestigious appearance.

It’s also quite notable that you will find no physical controls on the subwoofer or the satellites. Everything is controlled through the provided Media Center remote. On the lower portion of the right satellite, you’ll find a hidden orange display behind the glossy black cover. This only illuminates when the speakers are in use.
