LCF 917 ATX Case Review

The 917 is a 17 inch ATX case. Its dimensions are 17.5" high, 15.25" deep and 7.5" wide. This case has lots of room for expansion. There are four 5.25" drive bays, two 3.25" drive bays and three 3.25" internal drive bays. With this many drive bays, you can really load the case up. Inside the case, all the metal have rolled edges so you don't cut your fingers.

The 917 has a nice curve front face. Gives it that round look. While some people don't like this look, I think it looks very modern. The only problem with it is with the floppy drive button which will get recessed into the case a little too far for my liking.

I find the 917 to be a good looking case all around. I really like the front design. There are holes drilled at the bottom of the case so the optional 3" fan behind it can bring in cool air. Out back, there are mounts for another 3" fan. The funky looking on/off and reset button helps to maintain that round feel of the case.

The sides of the 917 looks a bit like an IMac logo. I don't much care for it. The design makes cutting a blow hole on the side of the 917 pretty much out of the question, unless you want to cut the hole smack in the middle of that IMac logo.
