One of the most important factors of a case
is expansion room, quality, accessibility, cooling, power and styling. I was on
a quest to find the ultimate case to fit my Dual Processor system with 7 drives
including the floppy. The reason is because I upgraded my system to the point
where my current case won't even fit anymore. I wanted to use the system for
video editing, 3D graphical design, and of course the ultimate gaming rig.
My old Macase case just isn't going to cut it
anymore. I found what I was looking for. The answer was an Addtronics 7896A
Case. Now, this case is indeed expensive pricing around $150 to $170 after
shipping. However, the cost was offset by easily working on your computer
without cutting your hands or fingers. The case offers one of the best cooling
setups I seen. Besides, the case is usually the last thing you upgrade. Buying
an expensive case is a good investment because they are built to last, and the
standards do not change for years.
First, I must give a great thanks to Jim Hanson of
Coolcases
who provided me with the case. (sshh! He gives reseller discounts!) :) Not only
does he provide excellent service, he also gives some minor freebies which
includes wire ties for organizing cables, a piece of weather-strip to dampen the
vibration of the optional 60mm fan on the back, a 3-4 pin power adapter, and
some screws. He also charges actual UPS shipping charges.
So what's so good about it (the case, not Jim)
Please note, Jim's site wasn't up at the time of this writing, but hopefully
should be soon.
