AMK 3333-H300 Case Review

The AMK-3333H-300 has an interesting feature, which at first glance isn’t too obvious, I over looked it the first time I worked with this case. It has a motherboard tray, but unlike most other mobo trays which only hold the motherboard. This one enables you to secure in place all your peripherals like your video card, sound card, nic etc, including RAM and CPU out of the case, then it’s as simple as sliding it in, put on the 3 screws and connecting all the wires to the motherboard. I found this feature very useful for screwing down all the cards securely without any awkward positions with your screwdriver.

The inside of the case seems to be like any other, however, because the motherboard tray is so big and a lot of the sheet metal from the backside of the case is utilized in the slide out feature, it would be a very weak construction. To correct this, it comes with a reinforcing piece that runs the length of the case just below the 5” bays which I found got in the way for power wire and IDE Cables, as all the wires and cable have to pass through a slot in the reinforcing piece. This was the only thing I found negative about this case. There are three 5” bays of which I was only able to use two (more on this later), and it comes with  two 3½” external floppy drive and two 3½” internal Hard Drive bays.
