The AMK-3333 19" case is part of AMK's new Economy line of cases. The Economy
line was created for people who are looking for a high performance case without
the high price tag. Unlike the normal AMK cases, the Economy line uses smaller
and quieter fans to work its cooling magic. The Economy case comes in three
sizes. For this review, I took a look at the 19" mid tower unit. There is a 17"
and 24" model as well.
The AMK-3333 was designed primarily for Overclockers but they
are also good for the casual and corporate end user. Computers generates more
heat now than they ever have and the AMK-3333 keeps the ambient temp down to
help ensure your equipment lasts longer. Included in all cases is a bundle of
tie wraps to keep your cables neat and tidy.
At first glance, the AMK-3333 looks a bit like the Cyclone 5000 that was
recently
reviewed by HardOCP. Both are mid towers with a total of four fans to keep
cool. The main difference is price. The AMK-3333 sells for $40 less.
Like all AMK case, the numbers in the name refers to the size of the fan and
the number of fans. In this case the AMK-3333 has four 3.25" fan. One placed at
the lower front to bring in cold air. Two are on the side of the case. They
bring in cold air as well. The fourth fan is a blow hole placed on top of the
case to exhaust hot air. All fans plug directly to the 300 watt power supply.
The AMK-3333 measures 16" long, 7.5" wide and 19.25" high. The case has space
for three 5.25" drives and four 3.25" drives. The front panel is nice and clean.
One of the best I've seen. I really like the 'S' bend they added front of the
case. Gives it a nice Euro look.
