CDI Full Tower Cool Case Review

So how does it perform? Well unfortunately this is something that's really impossible to quantify in an objective manner. Unlike a simple heatsink/fan combo which really only relies on the overclocking potential of the CPU, a case which lowers the ambient temperature depends on all the components inside the case as well as the temperature of the air outside the case. The cooler the air outside the case, the more effective the Green Monster's cooling will be. Likewise, the hotter the components inside the case, the more the fans will have to cool down.

For the majority of systems out there, a case with this many fans isn't going to let you overclock your video card or processor to the next level. The amount of airflow that the case generates simply isn't going to be enough to drastically increase the overclocking potential of individual components. If you're really concerned with having the lowest ambient case temperature possible, then this case will do well for you. You also have to remember that no matter how many fans are in your case, it can never lower your temp below you room temp.

What's Lacking? For all its size, and all its fans, and all its cooling potential... this is one loud case. With all the fans running loud doesn't even begin to describe the amount of sound that this thing generates. I mean I have an old Digital server sitting in my room that I used to think was loud, not anymore, the Green Monster blows it away when decibels are concerned.

For those of us that keep our computers in the same room that we sleep in, and enjoy a nice stable operating system that lets us run our machines 24 hours a day, the case with all of its fans turned on is simply too loud to even try to sleep next to. Even with the case in another room, you can still hear the buzz it generates. If you turn off your computer at night, have it far away from where you sleep, or don't mind a lot of noise, then this wont' be a problem for you... but there are some more issues that this case has that I have to point out.
