Global Win 802 ATX Case Review

gw_case2.jpg (25433 bytes)

When it comes to drives, you can really pack a lot of them in the Global Win 802. The case comes with three 5.25" drive bays, two 3.5" drive bays and space for no less than FIVE hard drives! The drive bays are also tools free, using thumb screws to remove them. There is space for three hard drive in the lower drive cage and 2 more on the top drive tray.

The top drive tray comes off with a twist of the thumb screw. With this many places for hard drives, this case would make a great server. Nearly every part of the case is used for something. There are no empty spaces.

In keeping with the tool free theme of the 802, Global Win included some one screw metal fasteners for your 5.25" devices. At first I didn't know what these were. Took me a while to figure out. These fastener sure makes mounting down a CD ROM easy.
