AMK LAN-0334 ARX Case Review

The power supply used in the LAN-0334 is a 250 watt unit. You can upgrade to a 300 watt unit for $13 more. The fan on the power supply have already been set to blow air out instead of in. Directly below the power supply is a 3 inches high power Sunon exhaust fan. The back of the case comes with a nice plastic panel to give the case that finished look.

Small details like rear cover sets the LAN-0334 case apart.

Besides the 3 inch exhaust fan in the back there is a second 3 inch "chimney" fan mounted at the top of the case to exhaust hot air. It comes with a finger guard to protect little hands from getting cut up. All fans have pass though power connectors so you don't have to worry about the power supply running out of connectors.

With two 3 inch and a power supply fan exhausting air out, you need a nice big fan to bring the cool air in. AMK got that cover with the new Sunon 4.75 inch "blow hole" fan. This fan is an updated Sunon model. The old one moved 108 cubic foot of air per minute. The new Sunon that comes with the LAN-0334 move 120 CFM of air! This fan is mounted on the side of the case and is protected by finger guards as well.

The only downside to all these fans is of course noise. When those fans are spinning, it does get quite noisy. You hear a constant hum from the 4.75" fan. It's not that bad, but if your computer room is very quiet the noise might get to you after awhile. While playing with this case at the LAN party I really didn't notice any noise. Too busy shooting rockets. :-)
