I don't know about you but I love racing games (I guess you can tell that by my nick name :-)). Use to go to the arcade all the time to play Indy 500 against all my friends. Getting behind the wheel of that machine and doing some side by side racing was a great way to kill off a boring afternoon. One of the best things I like about that arcade machine was the force feedback steering wheel. It really added a level of realism to the game. Coming home to play Indy 500 on the PC and keyboard was never quite the same, until now.
The AVB GC-FBW1 is one of the best and less expensive force feedback steering wheels I've ever tried. At first I thought I wasn't going to like it, because it look more like a yoke than a wheel. However, as I tried it with more and more racing games, it really grew on me.
Pretty much everything one can ask for in a wheel is here. The complaints are few and the likes are many. The force feedback is one of the best in the business and the setup is a snap. This is the first USB product I've ever tested and I couldn't believe how easy it is to setup. Maybe those IMac people got the right idea after all....Na! :-)
What do you get for $70?

Inside the box, you get the wheel and pedals, manual, cables, power supply, drivers disk and a demo of UbiSoft's Monaco Grand Prix Racing Simulation, which I didn't really care for. I was hoping for a full version game, but at this price I guess I can't really complain. This is a really good deal for the price. Where else can you get a force feedback racing wheel for less than $70?
