Giganta supplied by: Everglide

It's big, it's blue and it's coming to get you! It's the new Giganta from Everglide. The latest weapon in the continuing search to improve one's Quake skills. The Giganta picks up where the Attack Pad left off. The Giganta name is a good choice. This mouse pad is BIG! The unit measures 9.5" high by 11.5" wide. More than enough mousing surface for even the biggest mouse movers.

The Giganta is Everglide's answer to the Ratpadz from HardOCP. The dimensions between the Giganta and Ratpadz are the same. The main difference being the Ratpadz has a full cut on the bottom while the Giganta has a notch. Also one pad is black while the other is blue. The reason the new Everglide pad  is not white is because of the new ball free MS Intellimouse Explorer has problems tracking on white surfaces.

Here is a side by side comparison of the Giganta and the Large Attack Pad. As you can see the Giganta is bigger around. Both unit have notches at the base for your wrist and the surface of both pads is made of a very hard plastic with a micro-beveled edge that's pretty hard to bend. The mousing surface itself is not as smooth as the edge of the pad. As a matter of fact it's pretty rough. This helps improve the traction and prevents the mouse from slipping.

If you need more support for your wrist while using the Giganta or any other Everglide mousing surface, you can order the Wrist Rest Plus. These polyurethane gel filled washable lycra fabric pads come in four different colors. It kind of gives the Giganta a finished look, while protecting your wrist.
