The Ratpadz is the mousing surface that got Everglide so scared they had to make a whole new pad, called the Giganta, just to compete with it. The Ratpadz is as cool looking as milk on Sunday and as dark as Darth Vader. Measuring a full 9.5" high by 11.5" wide the Ratpadz provides more than enough mousing surface for all your needs. The Ratpadz was created by those nutty overclockers at HardOCP. This pad is made by gamers for gamers. The care and thought put into the Ratpadz really comes through once you start using it.

While the the dimensions between the Ratpadz and Everglide Giganta is the same, the Ratpadz really has a little more surface area because it doesn't have those long curves in the corners. The major difference between the Ratpadz and Giganta is the Ratpadz has a full arch cut on the bottom of the pad while the Giganta has a notch. Also the Ratpadz is black while the Giganta I tested was blue. The reason these new mousing surfaces are not white is because the new ball free MS Intellimouse Explorer has problems tracking on white surfaces and maybe because Kyle likes black over white (judging by the HardOCP site which uses a black background).

A close-up look at the Ratpadz shows that the surface is not smooth. Ratpadz calls the surface Ultraslick. It's made of a very hard plastic surface similar to a cutting board. This kind of surface grips the mouse ball more than a cloth pad. The Ratpadz logo is placed on the upper right hand corner. It's a good place to put the logo since you most likely won't use your mouse up there. However, as you can see from the above photo, the logo is already starting to flake off. Hopefully their LOGO Padz use better paint.
