The Hedgehog-238M is without a doubt the best looking heatsink I've ever seen. It's made from pure copper and has a beautiful shine to it. Most heatsinks are made of aluminum for cost and weight reasons. There has been much debate over which metal is best for use as heatsink material. Basically, copper can transfer heat faster than aluminum, but retains that heat longer. Aluminum doesn't transfer heat as fast, but it doesn't retain its heat as long.

So we have a copper heatsink that can transfer heat really quick but retains it longer than aluminum. What to do?  AMK's solution was to take the Hedgehog heatsink and slap a big 60x60x25mm YS Tech fan on it. The fan moves 26 CFM of air and should be more than powerful enough to remove the heat off the sink. For those who want to go hog wild, AMK will sell the Hedgehog with a 38 CFM Delta fan. Be warn however, there is a reason the Delta is nick named "The Whistle Blower".

Besides being a very good looking cooler, the Hedgehog-235M is also one heavy heatsink. By far the heaviest socket 370 cooler I've ever came across. If you use the Hedgehog on a Slotket, you better make sure you have a good mounting system to keep your CPU steady, because this cooler is heavy enough to lean a Slotket over.

With a price of $46.95 for the YS Tech fan unit, the Hedgehog-235M is one of the most expensive socket 370 cooler on the market. However, as copper coolers go, the Hedgehog-235M is among the least expensive. The only other copper heatsink I know of is from Blizzard and those sell for up to $150!
