Global Win IStorm Cooler Review

Recently I received a little
box of luving from Global Win (thanks Cecilia)
and while I'm not going to share the main item they sent me yet, I will share
the most interesting one. Global Win is known for their kick ass heat sinks
that won't set you back more than the price of the CPU like some of their
competitors. Unknown to me Global Win has started making something they call
the ISTORM. Global Win's web site states that the ISTORM is a hard drive and
system cooler with a "special lateral cross-flow fan." When I received the box
I was amazed by such claims as "1st PC Air Conditioner", "A 9° C difference,
with or without it", and "To further help CPU cool 2° C at least" boldly printed
on the front. Those are some mighty big claims for what at first looks like a
fancy hard drive cooler. Is the ISTORM the answer to every overclockers dream
or is it ghey like TronŽ asked me when I got it?
Test System:
Abit BX6 Rev2
Intel Celeron 464
13gb 5400rpm, 18gb 7200 rpm, and 45 gb 5400 rpm
Some generic 18x CDROM that I got for free
Diamond Stealth II G460 8mb
Intel PRO/100+ NIC
3Com 905B NIC
This is the same file/print/internet server that I used in The $5.13 Lazy Man's Case Mod article from last month.
