For this review, we take a look at the
CGK High with its 30 CFM Delta fan. This would be a good choice for someone
looking for super performance without the super high noise level of the top of
the line Delta fan.
As stated in the beginning, the CGK is a
very large cooler. By far the biggest socket 370 cooler I've ever seen. The unit
measures 80mm wide. This is much wider than the motherboard's CPU socket and you
may have trouble fitting it onto some motherboards. The heatsink is made of
forged aluminum, not the extruded aluminum used in the construction of most
heatsinks.
The Taisol uses a very good heatsink clip. The motherboard
CPU socket has three small plastic hooks on each side, which holds the heatsink
clips in place. Some heatsink clips, like those from Global Win, use only the
middle hook. Some other coolers use three hooks on one side, but only one hook
on the other side. The TaiSol clip is the only one I've seen to date which uses
all three hooks on both sides.
