Installation requires the removal of your hard drive. You mount the drive on the mounting brackets, adjust the springs to put pressure on the heatsink and drive. then mount the whole unit into a 5.25 drive bay. There is a grill cover to give the whole unit a nice finished look. Total install time takes about 15 minutes.
