Largan Easy 800 Digital Camera Review

Written
: 11/22/2000Another Digital Camera review for you. The Largan Easy
800 is a 1024x768 max Digital camera, aimed at the buyer who wants SVGA
resolution at a minimum cost. Just how EASY is the EASY 800? Let's take a look.
This is the third time we've taken a look at Largan's digital cameras. The first two, the Largan Chameleon, and the Largan Lmini-351, both performed well, and were deemed good choices for their intended uses.
The Easy 800 steps things up a notch, being their highest pixel count camera. With a maximum resolution of 1024x768, Largan finally has a camera that is acceptable for budget print work, at around 4x6 maximum print size. We'll examine it's specifications and features, and see how well it fares against my "benchmark" camera, the Kodak DC215.
Inside the box, you'll find the camera (duh), a fitted camera case, a composite video cable (for connecting the camera to a TV for image preview), a serial transfer cable for uploading pictures to the PC, a copy of Adobe Photo Deluxe, the Largan Easy800 manual, a 4MB Compact Flash memory card, and 4-AA batteries. Check out the specifications table here.
