Conclusion
The Abit BE6 offers great performance for a price that
won't break your bank account. It will fit any ATX case. The only downside being
that a big cooler like the Global Win FDP32 will be blocking off some of its
DIMM slots. If you can live with that, I can highly recommend this motherboard
even if you're not looking to build an overclocked system.
This motherboard comes with all the features one can ask
for. Soft Menu, ATA/66 support, 5 PCI slots, support for up to 768 Megs of RAM
assuming your cooler don't block off any DIMM slots.
With a street price ranging from $110 to $120 the Abit BE6
gives new meaning to the word value. When you think about it, this is a really
great price. Just that deadly accurate heat sensor will cost you about $20 to
$30 if you were to buy one. Abit toss it in for free! Combine this with the CPU
Soft Menu II and you have a motherboard that stands among the best 440BX boards
currently available.
The Abit BE6 is the most stable motherboard I have ever
come across. No other motherboard has been able to run my Celeron 366 at 605Mhz
at default voltage. Kudos to Abit for a job well done.
