DFI has graced us with yet another motherboard, this
time a Socket370 VIA Apollo Pro based board, with the 686B Southbridge
(UDMA100).
Yes, yes, again the ubiquitous layout.
1AGP/5PCI/1CNR/1ISA. I'll stifle the rant that's boiling up inside me about ISA
and CNR slots. Just fill in the blanks, you all know why I hate them. ;) Be that
as it may, overall, the board is nicely laid out, with easy access to the ATX
power connector, and nothing in the way of mounting a really beefy cpu heatsink
(not that you'd really need to, more on that later).

You'll notice the absence of a heatsink for the
Northbridge. There was also no manual, and a hand-written section on the CD
driver label are kind of giveaways that this is an engineering sample board. DFI
has confirmed that this is an engineering sample, that's not available for
retail yet. The largest difference between this board, and the 6A64-SC that they
sell, is the 686B Southbridge on this board, that supports UDMA100). There are
no jumper wires or anything like that on the board, so physically; the board
seems to be DONE.
