Here we are presented with a  quandary. Since this is the first time I've actually benchmarked my Toshiba drive, I'm somewhat at a loss. It's testing (with the Monty Python and the Holy Grail DVD, which is ~ 3.95Gigabytes) at a measly 2.2x average DVD read speed. The Aopen starts at an indicated 5x speed, reaching 11.22x speeds on this shorter than average DVD title. As the graph scaling indicates, on a full DVD disk it should hit it's rated 16x max speed under those circumstances.
