The D-Link DMP-100 is a cool looking state of the art see-though MP3 player with an integrated voice recorder. You can listen to your favorite  tunes while you're on the go or just sitting still. Like all MP3 players there are no moving parts, therefore your music will never skip. Another benefit  is battery life. When the battery don't have anything to spin, it tends to last a long time. You can expect the two included AAA batteries to last non stop for over 10 hours before you have to change them. Try that with a portable CD player.

The DMP-100 comes with a full 32MB of memory built in. This should be enough for about eight songs. Not enough you say? No problem. The DMP-100 is expandable via SmartMedia cards. There is a slot at the back of the unit to insert the SmartMedia, allowing you to expand the memory by whatever size your SmartMedia card is.

The DMP-100  features a tunable equalizer. There is also an integrated voice recorder to let you record ideas, memos, or even full lectures. With the standard 32 meg memory, you can record over two hours of talk. With download and upload capabilities, not only will it store your favorite MP3s, but you can use it to store any Windows files and transfer them between two computers. It will even save your recordings to your PC as a wave file.

With a retail price of $179, the DMP-100 is near the lower end MP3 player  scale. How does  it compare? Let's find out.
