Setting up the DMP-100 is super easy. The unit is really complete package. The only thing missing are the MP3 songs. The manual is clearly written in a way even a newbie can understand.

Transfer of MP3 songs to the unit is done by a cable that attaches to the printer port and the player. The included software to move the songs from your computer to the DMP-100 is really easy to use. Just a drag and drop operation. The only bad thing about it is speed. The printer port can take up to 30 minute to transfer 32 megs of songs. A USB connector would have been much faster and nicer to have.

The DMP-100 is really easy to use. All the buttons are clearly labeled and the display is nice and big. However there is no backlite for the LCD display and at night time with no lighting you can't read it.

By far the most unique feature of the DMP-100 is the recorder. There are two modes of operations for the DMP-100; MP3 mode and voice mode. In voice mode, the mic turns on and allows you to record up to 2 hours and 15 minutes. A little red light at the upper right hand corner flashes as you record. The voice recorder is great if you meet some hot babe on the street and got nothing to write her phone number down with. Just have her say it to the DMP-100. :)
