The Acer TravelMate 341TV is a "sub notebook". I remember when these things use to be call Laptops. Then they got smaller and became notebooks. Now we have the sub notebook. However, just because the Acer 341TV is small doesn't mean it lacks for power or features. As a matter of fact, it's one of the most full feature notebooks you can buy.
The Acer 341TV is powered by a 500Mhz Pentium III CPU, 64 Meg of RAM, a 6 Gig ATA33 hard drive, 6X DVD ROM and 12.1 TFT screen. The most amazing thing is Acer was able to pack this into a notebook just one inch thick and tipping the scale at just 4.1 pounds. There is even an optional USB camera!
You can clearly see just how much smaller the Acer 341TV is to a standard notebook in the above picture. Both notebooks have 12.1 screens. The big notebook belongs to Lowlight over at HardCOREware.net. It's an Acer TravelMate 506DX. Not only is the 341TV smaller than than the 605DX, it's a lot more powerful and packs more features. Of course it's also a lot more expensive. Is the extra price worth it? Let's find out.
