Gateway told me to go big or go home! When I lay my eyes on the screen of the Solo 9300XL, I knew exactly what they meant. The new Gateway Solo 9300XL comes with the biggest screen ever to be put on a notebook; a full 15.7 inches!! That is as big as the viewable area on most 17 inch monitors! The amazing thing is Gateway was able to package this amazing screen into a laptop that weight just 8.6 pounds.
The Solo 9300XL is a no compromise portable computer. Here is a notebook that really does goes head to head with its desktop counterpart. The specs reads like a who's who's of dream notebook parts. 800Mhz Pentium III with speed step technology, 128 Megs of RAM, 8 Meg ATI Mobility video card, 20 Gig hard drive, 8X DVD ROM, etc.. The Solo 9300XL packs more fire power than any other notebooks out there and is more powerful than most desktops!
Measuring 13"X11.25"X1.6" the Solo 9300XL is not small by notebook standards. As can be seen in the above photo, it's a lot bigger and more than twice as heavy as the recently reviewed Acer 341TV. However, in this case, bigger could be better. One look at that 15.7" screen will have you convince. It's like carrying around a full blown 17" monitor with you where ever you go. If you're looking for a machine to knock their socks off at the next board or sales meeting, the Solo 9300 will do it for ya.
