Muskin SDRAM Review

At this point I said WTF and went for it all. I was able to boot into Windows stable at 150mhz but at 155mhz it would lock up on post. Just to prove it here is a screen shot of WCPUID showing 150mhz memory bus.

And here are the benchmarks running 150Mhz

For PC100 memory that I bought almost 2 years ago this Mushkin SDRAM kicks major ass. A lot of "budget" SDRAM bought today has problems running much over 133mhz but this Mushkin SDRAM runs 150mhz stable. As you can see, I went from 346/379 running it at the spec of 100mhz CAS3 to getting 511/568 running 150mhz. That is an almost perfect 50% improvement expected but what I did not expect was to have this RAM run totally stable at 150mhz.

I give total props to Mushkin and we now see why they deserve their well earned reputation.

Pros:

  • It freaking works at 150Mhz

Cons:

  • Nada

Rating: 9/10
