To test the Performance Series SDRAM I installed them in
my current Intel test system which is made up of:

Abit VP6 motherboard

- 64 Megs Creative GTS Ultra
- Sound Blast Live! Value
- D Link 10/100 NIC
- Yamaha 16/10/40 CD Writer
- 46 Gig IBM ATA100 Hard Drives
- A no name floppy drive
- Windows ME

This first benchmark is the RAM running at 150Mhz with a
CAS timing of 3 and very conservative RAM settings. 4 way interleaving was
disable. Standard Micron PC-133 SDRAM that you buy from any source can run at
this setting.

This benchmark shows the increase that happens when I
"MAX" out all the settings. RAM timing was set to "Turbo", CAS was set to 2 and
every other memory tweaks enable. This setup produced a blue screen with normal
Micron PC-133 but the Performance Plus and Max had no problems with it. This is
the higher SiSoft memory score we have ever record with VIA 133A motherboard.
While standard Micron PC-133 can run my P3 at 150FSB, I
was not able to get maximum memory performance because I have to back down the
RAM settings in the BIOS so the RAM can run at 150Mhz. This is not the case with
the OCZ Performance Series RAM. Both the Plus and Max was able to run at 150Mhz
CAS 2. If you need a higher bus speed than 150Mhz, then the Max is for you. For
the rest of us, the Performance Plus is more than fine. You pay a bit more for
these hand pick RAM but the end result is worth it.
