Cambridge SoundWorks DeskTop Theater DTT2500 Review
This is one great looking computer speaker system. For one thing, there are a lot more speakers to setup. Care must be taken in the placement of each speaker. The mounting bracket supplied with the satellites aim them at the listener's ears. This is a must with single point source transducers.
The center channel speaker was placed on top of my monitor using the mounting bracket that aims the speaker downward right at the head. If you wish to mount the speaker in front of your monitor you can use the standard bracket which aims it up.
The rear satellites speakers were placed on the supplied speaker stands. The inclusion of the stands was really nice. If you don't use the stands you can use the Velcro straps which is also supplied. Cambridge even included another set of angle brackets just like the front satellites for use with the rear if you don't want to use the stand or Velcro.
All the connectors at the back of the control amp are clearly labeled. Look closely and you will see a line out for the sub woofer. This is in case you decide the sub that comes with DTT2500 is not powerful enough for your taste and you want a real sub woofer like the Bass Cube 12 power subwoofer.
