Asus V6600 Deluxe Review

There's a lot to like about the new Asus V6600 Deluxe. This card has everything. Speed, great visuals, TV out, VR Glasses, you name it. Add in the optional TV tuner and you got yourself the ultimate multimedia setup.

The Asus V6600 Deluxe is a great video card. The fastest The Tech Zone has ever tested. However this is also one of the most expensive Geforce 256 cards on the market. Considering the amount of features it has, it's not too bad and you can always get the V6600 PURE if you don't need all those extra toys.

The Asus V6600 has taken over the Viper Ultra as video card of choice for project 620. Running at 155Mhz core and 210Mhz memory there are very few video cards that can keep up with it. The only question remaining is how much further I can overclock it if I put on a real cooler? That I intend to find out. :)

Overall, I really like this card. Asus has done a great job on it. It's really fast at stock speed and really really fast when overclocked. The visual quality is right up there with the best and the game and software bundle is great. Future drivers should be able to improve the 32 bit Quake 3 score, which was the only real disapointment.

If you're in the market for a GeForce 256, I can highly recommend the Asus 6600, the most feature packed GeForce card you can buy.
