The Asus V6800 is among the fastest video card The Tech Zone's ever tested. The card easily set new records for all our standard benchmarks.

16 bit Vs 32 bit

Benchmark Type 16 bit 32 bit
Quake 3 Dem0001 800x600 119.8 106.8
Quake 3 Dem0001 1024x768 91.6 72.7
Quake 3 Dem0001 1600x1200 38.7 24.1
Quake 3 Dem0002 800x600 122.7 110
Quake 3 Dem0002 1024x768 91.5 74.0
Quake 3 Dem0002 1600x1200 39.9 25.3

Going to 32 bit doesn't slow the Asus 6800 much. At 800x600 frame rate drops only 10%. As resolution is increased, the drop becomes much greater. At 1600x1200, frame rates take a 36% drop. Quake 3 is totally playable at 32 bit color and texture as long as you stay below 1600x1200. However I found the game ran very good at 1600x1200 when running 16 bit color and 32 bit texture.
