Logitech Cordless Desktop MX5500 Revolution Review

Conclusion
At $170, the Logitech Cordless Desktop MX5500 Revolution is far from being a bargain basement offering. It’s probably more than what most people are willing to spend on a wireless desktop set, so you would think that Logitech would step it up a notch or three to justify the higher asking price.
Unfortunately, as nice as the MX5500 Revolution is, it’s hard for me to say that it’s worth the price of admission. The mouse is as great as it’s ever been, but it’s an aging unit and you can buy it on its own for a lot less money. Given that the MX Revolution laser mouse can be had for about $60, this means that you are paying $110 for the keyboard. Sorry Logitech; this keyboard is not worth $110 to me.
The display is a nice touch, but it’s ultimately not that functional. The extra media controls can be had on a much cheaper keyboard, so it’s hard for me to recommend this product. That’s not to say that it’s a bad desktop set (it’s actually quite good). It’s just that it’s too pricey for what it is.

- MX Revolution mouse is a pleasure to use
- Bluetooth connection possibly eliminates need for USB dongle
- Quiet keyboard
- Always-on LCD display has handy calculator function
- Bulletproof Logitech build quality
The Bad
- MX Revolution mouse is old news
- Not worth the current MSRP
- Keys can feel a little mushy to some users
- Keyboard is nothing special, especially at this price
- Bluetooth USB dongle doesn’t stow away into the mouse or keyboard
Good product, at Tradestead there also has many kinds of such beautiful and powerful consumer electronics , I like it very much!
Being lefthanded, the mouse is a horrible to use.
