Logitech has done it again. The VX Nano Cordless Laser Mouse has to be one of the best notebook mice available on the market today. It has a high level of functionality with a fast scroll wheel, forward/back buttons, and a search button, and this is despite is really diminutive stature. At the same time, it is this remarkably small size that can make it a little uncomfortable to use.

The tiny USB receiver is a marvel in modern technology. I still can’t get over how small this thing is. Even though it’s so small, you can still get very good range with the VX Nano. The laser tracking is great and the attractive style is right in line with the existing VX Revolution and MX Revolution.

If you’re in the market for a small notebook mouse, but don’t want to sacrifice functionality in the process, the Logitech VX Nano could be the mouse for you.

  • Tiny USB receiver truly is “set it and forget it”
  • Functionality nearly on par with most desktop mice
  • Ultra-fast scroll wheel is a joy to use
  • Fantastic battery life
  • Handy carry pouch and USB extender are nice bonuses

The Bad

  • Easy to lose receiver, though stowaway slot is handy
  • Horizontal scroll can be a little sloppy
  • Can be too small for comfort for some people
  • Awkward placement of forward/back buttons

    I own the VX Nano from august and it’s fantastic! I never change batteries and I’ve got 50% of charge left, working 9-10 hours/day (or more sometimes). And I can move my laptop without worring about the receiver. But my middle button is configured for change window in WinVista, not for search
